Terms of Use
These terms apply to everyone who uses SmartFi — the operators who run WiFi vending machines, and the customers who buy internet time from them.

2. Two kinds of user
SmartFi is used by two groups, and different parts of these terms apply to each.
- Operators own the WiFi vending machines. They pay SmartFi for software that manages those machines, and they sell internet access to their own customers.
- End customersbuy internet time or a prepaid voucher from an operator, either on the operator’s store page or on the captive portal that opens on their phone.
3. What we sell
3.1 Prepaid WiFi vouchers
Each operator has a store page where end customers buy time-based internet access. The internet access itself is provided by the operator who owns the machine, not by SmartFi. The money from these sales belongs to that operator. SmartFi collects the payment on the operator’s behalf, keeps a platform fee, and passes the rest to the operator.
3.2 Internet time on the captive portal
A walk-in customer connects to an operator’s WiFi, the portal opens on their phone, and they buy minutes or hours of access. The same arrangement applies: the operator provides the service, and we collect and split the payment.
3.3 Operator subscriptions and credits
Operators buy credits and subscriptions from SmartFi to manage their machines from our dashboard. This is our own revenue and is not shared with anyone. Prices are shown on our pricing section before you buy.
4. Payments
- All prices are in Philippine Pesos and include any taxes we are required to charge.
- Payments are processed by a licensed payment provider. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Internet time and vouchers are delivered immediately after a successful payment. If delivery fails, see our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
- Some machines also run an offline mode, where the portal is served by the machine itself on its own local network. In that mode a customer pays with coins or with a voucher bought earlier, and no online payment is processed.
5. Your account
- Give accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
- An operator account must be held by the person or business that actually owns and runs the machines.
6. What you must not do
When using SmartFi, you must not:
- Break any law of the Philippines.
- Resell, copy or reverse engineer our software, firmware or device configuration, or run it on hardware we did not license to you.
- Interfere with the service, try to get into accounts or systems that are not yours, or work around the limits on your plan.
- Use the service to send spam, distribute malware, or share material you have no right to share.
- Give false business information, or run payments for a business other than the one on your account.
7. Service availability
We work to keep SmartFi running, and we publish live platform health on our status page. We cannot promise the service will never be interrupted. Maintenance, internet outages at a machine’s location, power cuts, and problems at third parties such as internet providers and payment providers can all stop a machine working, and those are outside our control.
8. Suspension and closing an account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that shows signs of fraud, or that we are required to act on by a payment provider or a regulator. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it first. You may close your own account at any time by contacting us.
9. Our responsibility to you
We provide the platform as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost profit, or lost business that follows from using or not being able to use the service. Where we are found responsible for something, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the problem arose.
Nothing here removes any right you have under the Consumer Act of the Philippines or any other law that cannot be set aside by agreement.
10. Content and ownership
The SmartFi name, the software, the dashboard, the portal and the device firmware belong to us. Using the service does not transfer any of that to you. Content you upload — your shop name, your logo, your rate plans — stays yours, and you give us permission to show it where it needs to appear, such as on your own store page and portal.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change matters to you — for example a change to fees or to how payouts work — we will tell account holders by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute that cannot be settled between us will be brought before the courts of City of General Santos, to the exclusion of any other venue.
